Having spent many years in the glazing business from the mid seventies to late eighties, I saw huge changes within the industry, always looking for solutions to take things to the next stage.
In 1989 we launched our first set of folding sliding doors. This was not a good time in the UK, as raging inflation, along with businesses having great financial strains, gave a knock on effect to the industry. However, we persevered and gradually architects took note and began to use the concept of folding sliding doors. They saw the benefit of added space and light, but still the window industry dragged their feet.
We then embarked on developing our portfolio to give more choice and improved our systems to accommodate the burgeoning trend towards the doors. We have spent the last few years setting trends and reacting to people's requirements. We have sent our door systems as far a field as New Zealand and more commonly to the United States and the Caribbean.
We strive to improve and innovate to stay the market leaders. We now have a thriving business not only in folding sliding doors, windows and conservatories, but have added further to our portfolio with the advent of full internal doors sets. Many developers and builders are now moving over to our fully finished internal doors, which are manufactured in Germany and can be fitted in around 45 minutes.
